Lead Teacher/ Private Lessons Instructor
Shauna Burapa is the founder of Little Bird Music Company and a music educator with a background in flute performance and music education from the University of North Texas. She is certified to teach music from early childhood through 12th grade and has experience teaching in a wide range of settings, from private lessons to early childhood classes to elementary music.
Most recently, she taught Pre-K through 5th grade music to over 800 students and was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2025. Shauna is passionate about helping children build confidence, connection, and a love of music from the very beginning, and is currently pursuing a certification in music therapy.

Co-Teacher/ Musician
Brass Burapa is a musician, piano instructor, and certified occupational therapy assistant who brings a thoughtful and playful approach to working with children. He holds a degree in music education from the University of North Texas and an associate’s degree in occupational therapy.
With experience in both music education and occupational therapy, Brass often incorporates music into his work to support engagement, transitions, and developmental growth. He teaches private piano lessons and frequently joins our group classes, helping create a fun, supportive environment where children can explore music with confidence.
Recently married, Shauna and Brass are excited to build Little Bird Music Company together—combining their shared love of music and passion for working with children. They enjoy traveling the world, experiencing new cultures and cuisine, and bringing those influences into their music and teaching. At home, you’ll often find them playing board games or having impromptu jam sessions on piano, flute, and voice, much to the chagrin of their sweet pup, Barley.
